A Nordic bath? But what is it?

Updated: Jun 30, 2021

When I say Nordic bath, you may be thinking of the Swedish tradition? The one that consists in immersing yourself in a hot bath with the aim of alternating hot and cold... You're right! You could say that a Nordic bath is a kind of ecological jacuzzi...without the bubbles.

1. What is it ?

The Nordic bath is an outdoor wooden spa, usually round in shape. It is heated to between 37 and 40 degrees.

2. What are the benefits?

What could be better than relaxing and having a positive impact on your health? It is important to know that the Nordic bath allows you to release toxins, stimulate blood flow and reduce stress at the same time. But above all, it is a moment of unparalleled relaxation!

3. When is the perfect time to enjoy a Nordic bath?

Any time is good when it comes to relaxation! Day, night, rain, sun, alone, with family, as a couple or with friends, taking a Nordic bath is a guaranteed moment of well-being. Getting into a bath allows you to reconnect with yourself or with others.

4. My opinion?

To tell you about it, I absolutely had to test it. So, as soon as I got into it, a feeling of warmth came over me. You really feel like you're in a bath...that never gets cold! After a few moments, you feel a real sense of relaxation. What I also remember is that all the senses are awakened! The sense of smell through the sweet woody scents; the sense of hearing through the melodious singing of the birds or the view of this majestic forest. It is a real experience in osmosis with nature...doesn't it make you want to?

1. Where to test it?

We take the plunge? Bain de Forêt invites you to try it in its dream setting. Come and enjoy this moment of relaxation in the middle of the forest, thanks to the luxury of the wood and lulled by the song of the birds.

Bain de Forêt has chosen UBO as a partner, their filtration system uses almost no chemicals in order to offer an exceptional experience of well-being while respecting the environment.

And you, have you already tried the Nordic bath? What do you think of it?
